Our French country dining room tour

The dining room is one of our favorite rooms, along with the living room. Here is a quick tour, while waiting to show you other rooms of our house!

Our color scheme

We used a lot of neutral colors like beige, gray, taupe and anthracite. But also 2 colors we love: green and lavender.

Our dresser

We decided to remove the doors from this old dresser. We also repainted the exterior in gray and the interior in anthracite to give depth and highlight our antiques.

As you can see, I absolutely love white ironstone, particularly soup tureens.

Our farm table

We inherited this table from my grandparents. It was basically very dark. We needed to clarify the room, so we repainted it in gray, with a white drawer.

Our chairs were repainted in white. And we found these lovely green chair cushions to brighten them up.

My favorite chair

A beautiful find, in a garage sale. This is a Dagobert chair, inspired by the throne of Dagobert, the king of France in the 630s AD.

I absolutely love its shape and its beautiful patina.
